There’s something so special about those first few weeks with your newborn. The tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, little yawns, and the way they curl up perfectly in your arms. It’s a season that can feel like a blur, filled with so much love, a little exhaustion, and the realization that your world has changed in the most beautiful way.
My goal is to create a relaxed, gentle experience where you can slow down, settle in, and simply be together. There’s no pressure for your baby to sleep, no need for everything to go perfectly, and absolutely no expectation that you have it all figured out. We’ll follow your baby’s lead, take breaks when needed, and make space for all the little moments in between.
Because one day, you’ll want to remember more than just how tiny your baby was. You’ll want to remember the way they fit against your chest, the softness of their skin, the way their whole hand wrapped around your finger, and the feeling of holding this little person who made your family feel brand new.
These days are fleeting, but the photographs will give you a way to return to them.

What to Expect
A relaxed, baby-led experience
Bringing a new baby home is a beautiful, life-changing season, and your newborn session should feel like a little pause in the middle of it all.
My newborn sessions are relaxed, baby-led, and tailored to your family. I specialize in posed lifestyle photography, which means I’ll gently guide you into natural poses and give you prompts to help create genuine connection, then step back to capture the little in-between moments that unfold.
You don’t need to know what to do in front of the camera, and your home doesn’t need to be perfect. I’ll guide you through everything, so you can focus on soaking up these early days with your newest little love.
Following your baby's lead
Newborns have their own schedules, and we’ll follow yours! There’s no pressure for your baby to sleep through the session or cooperate on cue. If they need a feed, a diaper change, some extra cuddles, or simply a little time to settle, we’ll take a break. Your baby’s comfort always comes first.
Sessions typically last 1–2 hours, giving us plenty of time to work at your baby’s pace without feeling rushed. If you’d like wrapped images or gentle posing of your baby on their own, we can incorporate those, too.
The moments we'll capture
Every family is different, and I want your gallery to reflect the connections that make yours special. Depending on your preferences and how your little one is feeling, we’ll aim to capture a beautiful variety of images, including:
- The whole family together — your first days as a family with your newest addition.
- Mom and baby — the cuddles, the connection, and the quiet moments between you.
- Dad and baby — those sweet first snuggles and brand-new bonds.
- Siblings and baby — capturing the beginning of a relationship that will grow for years to come.
- Baby on their own — all those tiny details, delicate features, and newborn stretches you never want to forget.
We’ll work together to prioritize the images that matter most to you, while leaving room for the unexpected little moments that often become favourites.
What about older siblings?
A new baby is a big adjustment for little ones, and there's absolutely no expectation that siblings will sit perfectly still or follow every direction. I’ll help them feel comfortable, keep things lighthearted, and gently guide them through their part of the session.
Sometimes the sweetest images come from a spontaneous cuddle, a curious little glance, or a big sibling who just wants to show off their new baby. We’ll embrace your children as they are and let their personalities shine.
Getting ready for your session
Before your session, you’ll receive a preparation and styling guide with helpful tips on what to wear, how to prepare your home, and how to help everything run smoothly.
You don’t need a picture-perfect nursery or a house straight out of a magazine. We’ll make the most of the natural light and spaces that work best, keeping the focus on what matters most: your growing family.
Above all, you can relax. I'll bring the guidance, patience, and experience. You just bring your family, your baby, and all the love that comes with this new chapter.

I only take 2-3 newborn bookings each month, so spots fill up fast! Let’s reserve your date while you’re still expecting!
**All packages require a 50% retainer to secure your requested date.
**Contract must be signed.
**Locations outside the St. John’s Metro Area may incur an additional travel fee.
**Prices are for a family of six (6). Each extra member will be another $25.

Do you provide styling advice?
Don’t worry—I won’t just send you a Pinterest board and wish you luck! Once you book, you’ll receive my session prep guide with tips for choosing outfits that photograph beautifully together. And if you’re still stuck, you can let me know and I will provide a custom outfit guide with direct purchasing links based on your budget if you're looking to buy something new!
Can I include extended family in my session?
Absolutely! Extended family sessions are a wonderful way to capture special moments with loved ones. The prices listed above are for a family of six people - each additional member will be another $25.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! I understand that budgeting for a photoshoot is an investment, so I offer payment plans to help make the process easier. The full payment does need to be made in full by the session date, however. Please reach out if you're interested in this option, and we can discuss a plan that works for you.
What if my older kids won't cooperate?
Then they’re officially human! lol Seriously, though, you don’t need perfectly behaved kids for beautiful family photos. Kids run, wiggle, get distracted, refuse to smile, and sometimes just need a minute. I expect it! We will try and make it fun for them and I will ask them to help me as much as possible so they don’t feel left out with the new baby. When the older siblings feel comfortable, I will smash out as many photos with them as possible before they lose interest again. We’ll never spend the whole session forcing a child to sit still and smile at the camera. And some of my favourite photos happen when the kids aren’t cooperating, because those are often the moments that show your family’s real personalities and connection.
How long does a session typically last?
Sessions can range from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the baby. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and capturing a variety of setups.
How long until I receive my final photos?
Your edited photos will be delivered within 3 weeks after your session. I carefully edit each image to ensure you receive only the best.
Can my pets be in the photos as well?
Absolutely! Your fur babies are part of the family, too. I’m happy to include your furry family member in your session. We can get a few photos with everyone together, and then give your pet a little break while we focus on the rest of the family.
Do you offer prints and artwork?
Yes! And I’m a big believer that your favourite photographs deserve to be more than just files sitting on your phone. I offer professional-quality prints and canvases so you can turn the images you love into something you can actually see and enjoy every day. After your session, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the artwork options available and choose the pieces that make the most sense for your home and your family. Because these memories are meant to be lived with, not just stored on a hard drive.
Do you pose my baby and use props?
I focus on natural, baby-led poses with wraps. I also ensure that every wrap and position is comfortable and safe for your baby. I don’t use props like baskets or anything, as my approach is more geared towards lifestyle photography.
